1. The service
BGCut provides automated background removal, previews, refinement tools, and image downloads. Features may change as models, infrastructure, and operating requirements evolve. The core service currently does not require an account, and no promise is made that every feature will remain free or continuously available.
2. Your images and permissions
You retain the rights you already hold in uploaded images and resulting files. You confirm that you have the necessary right or permission to upload and process the content. BGCut does not grant rights to people, trademarks, artwork, confidential material, or other content contained in an image. You are responsible for confirming that your final use is lawful.
3. Limited processing permission
You grant BGCut the limited permission required to transmit, decode, process, temporarily retain, and return an uploaded image, and to review retained material for abuse prevention and platform safety. This permission exists only to operate, secure, and comply with obligations related to the service; it does not transfer ownership of your image to BGCut.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use BGCut to violate law, exploit or endanger a person, process content without necessary rights, distribute malware, evade security controls, overload infrastructure, reverse engineer protected service components, or automate requests outside published limits. Attempts to access the administration area or another user's data are prohibited.
5. AI results and user review
Background-removal models can omit subject details, preserve background fragments, or produce unsuitable edges. You must review results before publication or commercial use. BGCut does not guarantee accuracy, fitness for a particular marketplace, or preservation of every visual detail.
6. Retention and privacy
Uploaded originals may be retained for up to 30 days for safety review and abuse prevention, with limited compliance records retained when reasonably necessary. Processed results are returned to the browser and are not intentionally maintained as a permanent gallery. The Privacy Policy explains data practices in more detail.
7. Advertising and third parties
Informational pages may display Google AdSense advertising. Third-party links, model references, and advertising destinations are governed by their own terms and policies. BGCut is not responsible for an external site's content or transactions.
8. Availability and limitation
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, BGCut is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or a downstream platform rejecting an image. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised and material changes will be posted on this page. Questions may be sent to support@bgcut.org.
