Start with the source, not the tool
A sharp, well-lit image with real separation between subject and background gives every model more to work with. Compression, motion blur, and a background that matches the subject destroy information before BGCut ever sees the file. Refinement can fix a mask — it cannot invent detail that was never captured.
Upload the best source you reasonably can, keep the whole subject in frame, and judge the result at the size and on the background where it will actually be used.
